XXI Conferencia de Zonas Francas de las Américas

America, Africa and Europe converge on the island of Tenerife from 1 to 3 November with the celebration of the 21st Conference of the Free Trade Zones of the Americas, turning the Canary Islands into the capital of the tri-continent focus for a week. A unique opportunity to interact with businesspeople from more than 25 countrieson three continents meeting in one location.

The director general of Casa África, Luis Padrón, will be at the meeting as his institution is presenting the Review of Maritime Transport report at this important event. The report is published every year by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and provides an analysis of structural and economic changes affecting maritime trade, ports and transportation, as well as an extensive collection of statistical information.

Companies and representatives of the free trade zones of Colombia, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua, Uruguay, and a total of more than 20 countries of Latin America, will arrive in the Canary Islands to evaluate the current situation of the Free Trade Zones and agree on future joint actions with a common objective: to unite both shores of the Atlantic Ocean through the free trade zones. The organization expects the arrival of more than 500 attendees, on this first occasion when the most important event of the Latin American free zone organisation is moving to Europe, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, and coming to the Canary Islands, an area fully integrated into the customs territory of the European Union.

The island, in addition to its subtropical climate and privileged geographic location, has first class infrastructure in all sectors, tax advantages with European guarantees and connectivity with the three continents.

The Free Trade Zone of Tenerife is organising this event, together with the Association of Free Trade Zones of the Americas (AZFA), with the aim of guaranteeing its members access to global markets.

In order to attend, registration is essential.
