Seminario sobre prevención de riesgos laborales en entornos portuarios

This course has been planned in accordance with the needs detected at African ports, which have high accident rates. It is the first course of this type on occupational risk prevention specifically for the cargo sector.

A programme has been created that aims to provide all the necessary information so that participants may make the best use of the preventive structure, operational models, and experiences of Spanish ports.

The technicians and individuals responsible for safety in Western African ports will participate in this course. In order to better assimilate the knowledge, the course has been structured into four sections:

1st Section: This section makes reference to the law and the adaptation within a system as complex as the port operations for loading and unloading cargo.
2nd Section: The social and business agents, their organisation, their tasks and responsibilities.
3rd Section: The companies that complement the preventive organisational chart. Equipment, machinery, insurance companies, etc.
4th Section: Risks and preventive measures in the operations performed with machinery of cutting edge technology and which are implemented in all of these ports.
