Semana Temática: Movilizaciones Sociales y Migraciones

This initiative is organised by the University Centre for International Development Cooperation (CUCID), the Vice President for International and Institutional Relations at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the University Foundation of Las Palmas (FULP) and is co-financed by the Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation (AECID). The sessions will also be accompanied by African teas and cakes from the Campaign "Africa in the Kitchen" developed by the Habitáfrica Foundation with Casa África's support.

This Thematic Week will take place from the 12th to the 18th December 2011 and is part of the Initiatives from i.CUCID. It is part of the Agora on Human Rights by ULPGC and in it different activities are offered: Film-Forum, Round Table, Trekking, etc. all of them so that we can get closer to Arab Springs and the migratory movements.

The activities planned for this week are:

Film+forum: “Arab springs. The popular revolution: present and future”
Wednesday 14th December from 17:00 to 20:00.

Conference+round table: Arab springs, lthe social network revolution

Trekking: “Migrating towards…”
Saturday 17th December, from 9.00 to 15.30.
