Muñecos por el Desarrollo

The Foundation Muñecos por el Desarrollo (Puppets for Development) begins an ambitious cultural cooperation project: to train professionals in the creation and production of television programmes with puppets, and to promote a multicultural audiovisual content creation network between Spain, Central America and Sub-Saharan Africa. The contents, which are aimed at children from all over the world, convey universal values such as respect, integration, and tolerance between people of different races and cultures.

In this 1st Seminar to be held in Segovia, we will bring together different experts and professionals so they may share their knowledge and experience in areas of culture, creation, cooperation, and financing: individuals responsible for cultural cooperation of the OTC and Spanish Cultural Centres abroad, artists and local creators, experts in children´s television and programming, and funders.

This seminar will work on training professionals and creators from five Sub-Saharan African countries and 5 Central American countries in the techniques of creation, construction and staging of programmes and audiovisual content with puppets. This training process will be carried out in a Central American country and in a Sub-Saharan African country, where the participants from Spain and from the other countries in the region will travel.
