Hamsa para soñar
Casa Árabe, the Centro Sefarad-Israel and Casa África commemorate their tenth anniversary with this show which fuses Arabic, Sephardic and African artistic elements and that can be seen in Madrid on 5 December 2017.
Hamsa - literally “five” in Arabic - is a symbol of protection shared by Jews and Muslims. Flamenco, Sephardic, Arabic and African music accompany the dancing in this show created by the dancers Leilah Broukhim and Mohamed El Sayed, which also has the invaluable involvement of the Sudanese multi-instrumentalist Wafir S. Gibril. These three great artists want to share their passion for music and dance through the evocative power of this common bond, with artistic expression as a form of spirituality.
The show will take place at the Fernán Gómez Theatre in Madrid on Tuesday 5 December at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
It is a free concert, but tickets must be collected in advance from the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid (c/ Alcalá, 62). A maximum of two tickets per person can be collected on the following days and times:
