Afrikazabaldu, la capacidad creativa de las mujeres de África
The Haurralde Foundation has organised this film season in order to draw attention to films created by women and to present Africa´s reality from a female perspective. These films have a hard time reaching commercial cinemas, and yet they show us an essential facet of reality so we may better understand the world in which men and women live.
The project established by the Haurralde Foundation includes various actions such as seminars, meetings with Africans, this film season, and an exhibit of batik and African masks. The scheduled programme consists of:
- From the 4th to the 13th of March. Exhibit: The Art of African Women. Batik and Masks. From Monday to Sunday at Zelai Arizti Kultur Etxea (Zumarraga)
- March 9th at 09:00. Conference. 'The African Culture from the Perspective of Women', and viewing of the documentary titled La femme invisible at Zelai Arizti Kultur Etxea (Zumarraga)

Casa África sponsors Cinenómada because it has the same objective as Al-Tarab of making African cinema visible to as many Spanish audiences as possible and of brining Africa closer to Spain.
Cinenómada makes available to various entities a large selection of films from past editions of the FCAT, subtitled in Spanish, which is to date the only offering of this dimension and genre that exists in Spain and that guarantees African producers an income, which although modest, is often the only one they receive.
It targets associations, municipalities, regional governments, universities, cultural centres, film libraries, museums and any type of organisation or institution that is interested in promoting African cinema. Cinenómada distributes films throughout the year that would otherwise remain only in specialised festivals.
