XXV Festival del Sur-Encuentro Teatral Tres Continentes
The Sur-Encuentro Teatral Tres Continentes Festival celebrates a quarter of a century. 25 years of a festival which, despite the crisis, continues to strongly promote culture, which is often the first to be affected due to the lack of funds.
Casa África has once again wanted to be part of this important date with the culture from three continents and it does so with a new edition of African Letters, a programme that Casa África started in 2009 so as to bring the main voices of African contemporary literature closer to the Spanish public.
Now it is the turn of Cheikh Hamidou Kane, a Senegalese politician and author of works such as Los guardianes del templo or La aventura ambigua, which form part of universal literature. Throughout his personal and political path, we can say that Cheikh Hamidou Kane has been a privileged actor and witness of his era and now, as part of African Letters, he will be at the Casa Museo Orlando Hernández de la Villa de Agüimes on Thursday 19th July at 18:30h to talk to us about his work.
As part of the activities related to Africa, Sur Encuentro Teatral Tres Contienentes Festival of Agüimes also devotes some seminars to Frantz Fanon, thinker, writer, psychiatrist and revolutionary militant.
