XIV Concurso Fotográfico 'Objetivo África': Biodiversidad en África

Casa África announces its XIV Photography Contest «Objetivo África», which will reward the photographs that best publicise the positive aspects of the African continent in the field of Biodiversity in Africa, this year's theme.

The competition will reward those images that creatively reflect the biodiversity of the African continent. Focus on Africa, always oriented towards getting to know the positive aspects of the African continent, focuses in this edition on the environment and biodiversity, to contribute to the dissemination of the African natural heritage that invites us to think and visualise the richness of this biodiversity and its necessary conservation for the continent and for the planet. The theme can also be extended to climate change and its economic and social impact from a sustainability point of view. In addition, the photographs must show an optimistic approach, with the aim of continuing to break down the stereotypes that have traditionally marked the African continent.

The deadline for submitting applications and photographs is 2 May 2024 at 14.00 hours (GMT +0).

Each applicant may participate with a maximum of five (5) photographs to be submitted online through the platform MundoArti. The photographs must be sent in JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and weighing between 1 and 5 MB.

The jury, composed of leading professionals in the arts field, will assess the creativity, the innovation of the technique used and the way the message is conveyed. The description and the title of the photograph will also be assessed under these criteria.

The awards for this 14^th edition of Objetivo África are:

First award: 1000€
Second award: 500€
Third award: 300€

Participation process:

Download, fill in, sign and scan your application form. Save the generated PDF because you will need it to attach it on the platform
Have your photographs and the description of each one of them ready, as well as the place and date where they were taken
Have a copy of your ID card or passport ready
