Tercera Muestra de Cine Africano de Valladolid
The Sala Cultural de Caja España hosts the Third African Film Festival of Valladolid, organised by UMOYA -Committee of Solidarity with Black Africa of the city of Valladolid-, with the collaboration of Casa África and the Cinenómada programme of the Tarifa African Film Festival.
This film festival will consist of four showings (two feature films, one documentary and a short film), followed by a meeting-debate in which the aim will be to question prejudices about Africa and Africans, and which will also help us to discover, through knowledge and the cultural exchange between Europe and Africa, that there are many more bridges that unite us than walls that separate us.
Casa África and the Cinenómada (FCAT) initiative collaborate by providing the films, which will be shown in the following order:
- Tuesday, March 2, 2010: Faro, la reine des eaux / Goddess of the Waters (feature film)
- Wednesday, March 3, 2010: Thomas Sankara, l'homme intègre/ Thomas Sankara, the Upright Man (documentary) and Le Sifflet (short film)
- Thursday, March 4, 2010: L'Absence / The Absence (feature film)
ADMISSION is FREE for all of the sessions, which will always be held at 8:00 pm in the Sala Cultural de Caja España (Plaza España, 13, Valladolid)
