Oportunidades y desafíos al desarrollo en el Sahel
Casa Africa's General Director, Mr. Santiago Martinez-Caro will take part with a presentation at the lecture on Opportunities and challenges for development in the Sahel which will take place on Wednesday 18th December, at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington (CSIS).
The connection between development and strategy in the Sahel will be discussed, where experts talk about the difficulties of combating poverty in a politically unstable region. The Sahel stretches across countries like Mali, Mauritania, Chad, South Sudan, Senegal and Algeria, which are home to areas that are among the poorest in the world and where fighting poverty is doubly difficult due to the threat of terrorism.
The round table in which Mr. Santiago Martinez-Caro takes part, will take place on Wednesday 18th December at 3 p..m to 5 p.m. in the Conference Room of CSIS (1616 Rhode Island Avenue in Washington DC). See invitation
Mr. Santiago Martinez-Caro, will also offer a conference on security and economics at the Catholic University in Washington and in Wilmington North Carolina University, as well as carrying out a full programme of meetings which Casa África's General Director will undertake in the United States' capital in coordination with the Spanish Embassy in the country.
