INVESTOUR 2013

For the fourth consecutive year, FITUR organises INVESTOUR in collaboration with the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) and Casa África. This forum recognises the dynamic effect of tourism on the African continent's economy, boosting sustainable development in the region.

This Forum for Tourism Investment and Business in Africa will take place on 31st January 2013 as part of Fitur, The International Tourism Fair that is held annually in the Ifema fair pavilion in Madrid. Companies from the tourism sector, who are interested in taking part in this edition, should complete their registration on line.

INVESTOUR's main purpose is to bring Africa's potential nearer to Spanish tourism investments, offering companies in the sector propositions for projects in African countries and assisting in the meeting between operators in Spain and Africa who are linked to the following areas:

Funding and investment of tourism projects.
Promotion and representation of destinations in the Spanish outbound market.
Creation and improvement of hotel premises (not equipment).
Ecotourism operations in national parks and protected areas.
Promotion of wild life tourism; safaris, etc.
Promotion of cultural tourism.
Transfer of technology and know how in the hotel industry and tourism.
Infrastructures and transport.

The Investour format plans a technical session on tourism in Africa and its relationship with Spain, with the participation of high ranking representatives from the public and private sectors of Africa and Spain.

A Business to Business (B2B) meeting is also organised, business meetings between companies and African institutions and potential Spanish partners and investors, with a previously closed meeting agenda.
