III Encuentro con Mujeres que Transforman el Mundo
Nobel prize winners, Príncipe de Asturias prize winners, artists, philosophers, known activists, scientists, lawyers, actresses, journalists and other Women who change the World , return another year to Segovia to create a cycle of face to face conversations in the setting and show the reality of women in different parts of the world and from different fields through this 3rd Meeting that will take place from the 15th to 24th March at the Prison.
The 3rd Meeting with Women who change the world is a forum for discussions that is undertaken thanks to its protagonists; great women who have a place in society, brilliant women who disrupt the course of History with their lives in search of peace, which in itself brings justice, freedom, dignity, generosity, existence itself, in short, Human Rights, challenging the future with their confidence and strength and trying to find loopholes for hope and faith in a better world.
Stories of personal growth, the struggle for dignity, to defend the values of peace following the rawness of experiences, will be narrated by their protagonists, who are committed women who have fought to transform and advance society.
For this edition, Casa África supports the presence of Gertrud Mongella (Tanzania), a prominent activist who defends women's rights and the first female president of the Pan African Parliament.
The 3rd Meeting with Women who change the world is organised by Segovia's Town Council, the María Zambrano Campus and the Chair of UVa gender, with the collaboration of the Institute for Women, Casa África, the Orange Foundation, the Town Council of Alcobendas, Ontex, the Dutch Embassy and Tourism for Segovia.
