III Ciclo de Cine por la Paz

In commemoration of International Day of Peace, the Movement for Peace, Disarmament and Liberty (MPDL) has organised the "Cinema for Peace" film season, with which it aims to use the seventh art as a tool and symbol for conveying the values of tolerance, non-violence, and understanding that have guided our actions during its existence.

Through the Cinenómada programme, Casa África has contributed the film titled La robe du temps (Niger, 52’, Malam Saguirou) to the film season.

After the showing, the film director Juan Vicente Córdoba, the International Actions Supervisor of the Movement for Peace, Ángel Conde, and the director of the documentary shown, Malam Saguirou, will speak. The director will speak about his country, Niger, and the importance of cinema as an agent for social change.

The film maker is from Niamey, the capital of Niger, where he has started Dangamara, a successful production company. He is also the creator and producer of numerous documentaries that have earned him international awards and a scholarship to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus.

The showing of La ropa del tiempo (The Clothing of Time) and the colloquium with the audience will take place at the Cine Estudio of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid on Wednesday, the 22nd of September, at 6:00 pm. Admission is free until capacity is reached.
