I Concurso Fotográfico 'Objetivo África'

Casa África announces the 1st 'Africa Focus' Photography Contest, which will award the three photographs that best display the positive aspects of the African continent.

Any individual of legal age who accepts these terms and the unappealable decision of the jury may participate. Photographers or employees linked directly or indirectly to Casa África may not participate.
Each participant expressly authorises Casa África to reproduce, distribute and publicly communicate the images submitted, as well as to adapt them to the necessary medium for their communication. These images will form part of the Casa África archive, which may only use them for non-profit documentary purposes. This authorisation does not grant Casa África exclusivity, and the authors may use their own images as per their own criteria.  In the event that Casa África uses an image in public communication events, the author´s name will always be mentioned.

You may send us your photos until November 8, 10:00 am (Madrid time).
Each contestant may submit up to three (3) photographs, in high resolution, JPEG format and with a size of 2 MB or less, by sending them to the following email address: redes.sociales@casafrica.es. The email message must include the following personal information of the contestant:
 Name and surnames
 Contact telephone number
 Email address
 Date of birth
 Nationality
 Address
 Postal code
 City
 Title for each photograph
 Description of each photograph
Location and date of when each photograph was taken
Contestants who do not include this information in their email addresses may be excluded from the contest.

The jury´s decision will be published on November 11 on the Casa África website. (www.casafrica.es). Casa África will also publish an album with the selected photographs in its Facebook profile (www.facebook.com/Casa.Africa).

The jury´s selection will be submitted to a popular vote via Facebook. The three photographs awarded will be the ones that receive the most votes via the "Like" option through November 15, 10:00 am (Madrid time).
The photographs may not be older than four years when they are submitted, and may not have received an award in any other contest.

Each contestant awarded will receive a pack consisting of catalogues of six exhibits shown in Casa África: “Negro. Arte Centroafricano” (Black. Central African Art), “Singularidades”, “Bamako 07, en la ciudad y más allá” (Bamako 07, in the City and Beyond), “Africalls?”, “Re/presentaciones: ellas” and “Desvelos”.
