Exposición y conferencia: 50 Aniversario de Radio ECCA. Tendiendo puentes con África. Educar para transformar

On the 50th anniversary of Radio ECCA , Casa África hosts a photographic exhibition and a conference at its headquarters, which will serve to show society from the Canary Islands the radio's trajectory and cooperative work during its 50 year history, besides serving as a meeting and discussion venue for the challenges of cooperation in the education sector.

Since its beginning, Radio Ecca has been devoted to training people with the most educational needs. This station created its own educational system which was called ECCA system which has encouraged literacy and education for adult people without access to basic education in South American countries, Europe and West Africa.

In West Africa, Radio ECCA has had a productive existence, as some 30,000 people in Africa, in countries such as Morocco, Cape Verde, Senegal and Mauritania, have participated to date in its activities.

The photographic exhibition that Casa Africa now hosts in its Sahel Hall to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Radio ECCA shows a selection of pictures on the training activities of this institution in Africa. The opening of the exhibition will take place on 25th February and will be accompanied by a conference from representatives of the institution. In addition, as part of the commemoration of 50 years of existence, Radio ECCA organises a gala presentation on 15th February at the Teatro Pérez Galdós.
