Conferencia: "Sony Labou Tansi: L'anté-peuple ou le peuple hanté"
Within the activities that are undertaken by the Vice-Chancellor of Culture and Sport and the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, we find the University Extension Course "Africa from a socio-cultural and historic point of view." Under the framework of this course we programme the conference "Sony Labou Tansi: L'anté-peuple ou le peuple hanté", which will be given in French by Patrice Yengo, professor at the Higher Studies School in Social Sciences in Paris.
The conference, which is free, will take place on the19th October at 18:30h in the Public Room of the Edificio de Humanidades "Millares Carló" (C/. Pérez del Toro nº1 (Obelisco), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). In it, professor Yengo will present the work 'El Antipueblo' to us, which belongs to Casa África's Literature Collection and will tell us about its author, the Congolese novelist Sony Labou Tansi, considered to be one of the greatest writers in Central Africa despite his short literary career as he died when he was only 47 years old.
