Club de Lectura Casa África: "Tiempo de perro", de Patrice Nganang
Casa África once again starts up its Reading Club, with which it hopes to continue bringing African literature closer to all those who want to take part.
The meetings will take place at Casa África's headquarters on the last Thursday in the month at 7pm and will last approximately one and half hours.
The works will be commented on by Ángeles Jurado, a journalist and technician of Casa África's Media Area.
During the first session of this second stage, which will take place on Thursday 29th November 2012, the book Tiempo de perro, by the writer from Cameroon Patrice Nganang and which belongs to Casa África's Literature Collection will be discussed.
This work, narrated by a dog, has provided its author, Patrice Nganang, an African literature scholar who was born in Cameroon in 1970 and is currently a professor at the University of Shippenburg (Pennsylvania, US) many prestigious awards. There he teaches German and French, the language he uses in most of his fictional work.
Those interested in taking part in this first reading should send an email to cultura@casafrica.es as places are limited. Once they have registered as Reading Club members, they will able to have access to the book Tiempo de Perro together with the suggestions for its reading.
