El Centro Bamamu (República Democrática del Congo) fue creado para ayudar a garantizar la alimentación de las familias de las mujeres.  

El Centro Bamamu se localiza en la ciudad de Kananga, en la República Democrática del Congo, en una de las provincias menos desarrolladas de un país en el que la guerra ha sumido en la pobreza a la mayoría de la población.

Bamamu fue creado por la Archidiócesis de Kananga para la promoción de las mujeres emprendedoras y de las jóvenes en situación difícil.

Profesora de Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Especialista en cines periféricos, concretamente cines africanos. Es miembro del Grupo de Investigación: TECMERIN (Televisión-Cine: memoria, representación e industria) de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Participa en el Proyecto de Investigación: Diversidad Cultural y Audiovisual: Buenas Prácticas e Indicadores. Estos son los libros publicados: "La mujer logroñesa a través de la imagen en el siglo XX, Ayuntamiento de Logroño, Logroño, 2004." "Premio de Investigación del Instituto de Estudios Riojanos." "La percepción social del desnudo femenino en el arte.
