Creada en 1998, Brainforest es una Organización No Gubernamental que trabaja en la cuestión forestal-medioambiental en una doble perspectiva de apoyo sobre el terreno y de seguimiento de las políticas. Su filosofía se articula en torno a la consideración de la interdependencia en el análisis de los problemas medioambientales y sociales, la participación de las poblaciones locales (comunidades indígenas bantúes y pigmeas) en los diversos procesos que favorecen el reconocimiento de sus derechos, la promoción del desarrollo comunitario y la consideración de las especificidades de los pueblos indígenas.
Por fin en África es un blog creado y dirigido por Aurora Moreno Alcojor, licenciada en Periodismo, colaboradora con medios de comunicación como África no es un país y Mundo Negro. Su pasión por África resultó en la creación de este blog.
Como bien indica su creadora, en Por fin en África encontrará las noticias que no aparecen en los medios de comunicación y las que inundan los periódicos. También, encontrará noticias sobre la gente que hace cosas, los que protestan, los que se mueven y los que se marchan. Es un blog que trata la inmigración, habla de los africanos en Europa y los europeos que van a África. Es un blog lleno de dudas y preguntas en el que compartir con los demás.
Cabe destacar que el blog recibió un Premios Bitácoras 2012 por el mejor Blog Social en el Festival de Literatura Africana.
