El Instituto Mawazo es una organización establecida en Nairobi (Kenia) dirigida por mujeres. El Instituto se enfoca en mujeres jóvenes, debido a la falta significativa de representación en el campo, que puedan aportar conocimientos y perspectivas novedosas para las problemáticas nacionales e internacionales que afectan al desarrollo del continente y las apoya en la búsqueda de soluciones. En sus programas, equipan a sus aprendices para poder dirigir investigaciones de gran calibre y las prepara para comenzar su carrera en el campo y ser líderes con influencia.

Con Projects Abroad, puedes enseñar en el extranjero y ayudar a los niños a acceder a la educación que necesitan para un futuro mejor.

Sabemos que la educación es fundamental para romper las barreras de la pobreza y la desigualdad. Lo vemos todos los días en nuestras prácticas de enseñanza. A través de nuestros programas de enseñanza en el extranjero, podrás hacer que este cambio suceda por tu propia mano. También es una excelente manera de desarrollar las habilidades que necesitarás para una carrera docente, o de descubrir si convertirte en maestro es el camino correcto para ti.

Si bien la mayoría de nuestros programas de enseñanza en el extranjero se enfocan en ayudar a los estudiantes a aprender inglés, puedes enseñar otras materias. ¿Te apasiona la educación física, el arte o la historia? Haznos saber lo que quiere enseñar y lo emparejaremos con el proyecto correcto.

Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies (Instituto Wangari Maathai para la Paz y Estudios Medioambientales) se localiza en Upper Kabete Campus, siendo la Universidad de Nairobi un centro de excelencia en gobernanza y administración medioambiental y por sus vínculos con la cultura de la paz. El Instituto dirige entrenamiento holístico multidisciplinario, aprendizaje experimental, investigación, difusión y servicios de extensión en gobernanza medioambiental, administración y paz.

Wangari Maathai Institute (WMI) está comprometido a ofrecer servicios de calidad para todos los clientes. En esta línea, el servicio del estatuto de la universidad garantiza servicio de calidad basándose en la norma de la ley, recursos humanos especializados, trabajo duro, transparencia, responsabilidad económica, equidad y servicios de entrega puntuales en todas las unidades. El objetivo del Instituto de alcanzar un servicio de calidad se guida por su visión, que es la Excelencia en aprendizaje experimental, difusión innovadora de la comunidad e investigación para un medioambiente y una cultura de paz sostenibles.  

Esta visión está vinculada a la visión global de la Universidad. En consecuencia, su misión es cultivar ética, valores y prácticas positivas en cuanto al medioambiente entrenando a administradores que promueven la paz, desarrollo holístico sostenible, y la vinculación entre la teoría y la práctica.
