Una verdadera joya del arte situada en las afueras de Nairobi, la Galería de Arte Banana Hill exhibe una excelente selección de hermosas obras de arte africanas contemporáneas y ha exhibido a más de 70 artistas y escultores principalmente de Kenia y África Oriental. y algunas esculturas que ilustran una variedad de temas, capturados de manera única a través de la interpretación personal de cada artista que refleja la vida cotidiana en las ciudades y áreas rurales, el arte abstracto, las tradiciones culturales y la rica vida silvestre y paisajes de Kenia. Fundada por Shine Tani, un artista brillante él mismo, la visión de la galería es exponer a los artistas africanos y promover la apreciación del arte en la región.

La Galería de Nairobi es un Monumento Nacional que presenta exhibiciones de arte temporales y alberga la Colección del Patrimonio Africano Murumbi. Está ubicado en la intersección de Kenyatta Avenue / Uhuru Highway en el corazón de la ciudad de Nairobi. El edificio histórico en el que se encuentra fue construido en 1913, y era el edificio de oficinas de Old PC conocido cariñosamente como "Escotillas, Partidas y Despachos", debido a los nacimientos, matrimonios y muertes que allí se registraron. Ahora un museo, su colección permanente se basa en la colección Murumbi African Heritage, que incluye esculturas antiguas, pinturas y artefactos de la vida cotidiana de diversas culturas africanas. Estos fueron recopilados por Joseph & Sheila Murumbi cuyas biografías también se cuentan en una de las galerías. El museo también presenta exposiciones de artistas locales e internacionales.

La Galería de Arte Red Hill se encuentra en las exuberantes colinas verdes a las afueras de Nairobi. La galería fue construida para ser luminosa y aireada, escondida en un hermoso jardín con vistas al horizonte de Nairobi.

La galería ofrece un espacio impresionante y totalmente apropiado dedicado a la pasión por el arte africano. La galería posee una gran colección, acumulada durante un período de 25 años por los propietarios, que equivale a una sección transversal muy astutamente seleccionada de las mejores obras de arte africanas modernas y contemporáneas, incluidas pinturas y esculturas. Esta colección proporciona la base del programa de exposiciones. Además, la galería presenta varios espectáculos cada año dedicados a artistas individuales. Algunos de estos artistas están bien establecidos con reputación internacional y representan movimientos de toda África, mientras que otros representan nuevos talentos emergentes, un verdadero renacimiento de este lado del continente.
