Museo nacional de Etiopía

El Museo Nacional es el hogar de Lucy (Dinqnesh), probablemente el esqueleto más famoso de un homínido del mundo.Hallado en 1974 en Hadar en las riberas del Awash , se le denominó Australopithecus Afariensis, tiene con más de tres millones de años. El museo también posee una interesante colección de arqueología y de artefactos de la historia de Etiopía, así como objetos de arte y cultura del país. 

Museo Etnográfico del Instituto de Estudios Etíopes

Este museo está ubicado en el Antiguo Palacio Genete Leul del antiguo Emperador Hailesilassie, una de las construcciones palaciegas más modernas de la historia de Etiopía;  situado en y dirigido por el Instituto de Estudios Etíopes de la Universidad de Addis Abeba, es el primer y único museo etnológico del país, en el que se muestra el entorno físico y artesanía tradicional de los principales grupos étnicos, (incluyendo trajes, utensilios del hogar, artículos agrícolas, de caza, militares, instrumentos de música y manuscritos e iconos tanto cristianos como musulmanes). El museo fue creado a partir de la fundación del Instituto de Estudios Etíopes, y su colección se conformó a partir de donaciones públicas. En sus inicios, la colección etnográfica pertenecía al Museo de Historia Natural que se ubica en el campus Arat Killo de la misma universidad donde actualmente tiene lugar la colección de especímenes animales. A partir de 1963, la colección etnográfica se resguardó en el Museo Etnográfico. El museo comprende una sala principal ubicada en el primer piso que se divide en dos secciones: en la primera se ubica una pequeña sala de exhibiciones temporales, mientras que en la segunda se abordan las temáticas de los ritos de iniciación y el ciclo de la vida. En estas salas, los visitantes pueden apreciar diversos objetos de la cultura material y conocer las diversas formas de vida de los distintos grupos culturales de Etiopía, como el nacimiento de un infante, el matrimonio, el sistema de creencias, el sistema político, y la industria y producción del café. El recorrido continúa por las cámaras reales del antiguo Emperador Hailesilassie y de su esposa.

Entre las cámaras reales, se encuentra una pequeña sala donde se exhibe una colección de filatelia, así como una colección de manuscritos antiguos. Esta sala da a conocer también sobre la historia de la moneda en Etiopía.

En el segundo piso del museo se exhibe una amplia colección de arte tradicional, donde se pueden apreciar objetos como cruces y pinturas de íconos religiosos, y pinturas murales que narran temas seculares y religiosos de la historia del país.

Abengoa Water

Abengoa reafirma su compromiso con el sector de la energía y el medioambiente, apostando por el negocio del agua y creando en octubre de 2011, en primera línea de su organización, un nuevo grupo de negocio: Abengoa Water. Con anterioridad pertenecía a la unidad de negocio Befesa pero se desligó de ésta tras producirse una escisión con Abeima, centrada en el diseño y construcción de las plantas operadas y mantenidas por Abengoa Water.

Abengoa Water se centra en la promoción, desarrollo y explotación de plantas de tratamiento de agua, especialmente en el negocio de desalación debido a la escasez y falta de tratamientos de agua adecuados que acontecen en la actualidad.

El liderazgo y reputación de Abengoa Water han sido reconocidos en numerosas ocasiones mediante premios y distinciones entre los que cabe destacar los concedidos por la prestigiosa publicación internacional Global Water Intelligence (GWI), en su entrega anual de premios Global Water Awards, otorgando a Abengoa Water, en aquel entonces todavía Befesa, una distinción especial al "Mejor Proyecto del Año 2009" por la desaladora de Qingdao (China) y el premio a la "Empresa Desaladora del Año 2009".
