Renewable energy in West Africa. Status, experiences and trends

The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of ECOWAS (ECREEE), the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands (ITC) and Casa Africa have created this publication made up from articles from various renowned authors and institutions in order to present the current situation and development trends of Renewable Energy (RES) in West Africa, framed in an international context. This book is also a contribution to the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All by the United Nations and complementary to the dissemination actions of ECREEE and the RENOW project, led by the ITC and which aims to develop strategies for the development of RES in the Euro-African Atlantic.
