Fridolin Ambongo Besungu es arzobispo de Kinsasha, teólogo y profesor congoleño. Nació en Boto, República Democrática del Congo, el 24 de enero de 1960. Cursó sus primeros estudios de filosofía en el seminario de Bwamanda y de teología en el Instituto San Eugène de Mazenod.
Soy filóloga e investigadora en Duke University (Carolina del Norte, EEUU); recibí el doctorado de la Universidad de Virginia (Virginia, EEUU) con una tesis sobre representaciones de la identidad en la literatura contemporánea peninsular.
Nació y creció en el barrio de La Isleta (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), pero sus orígenes provienen de Guinea Ecuatorial, antigua colonia española llamada Guinea Española hasta su independización.

Dra. Joanna Boampong inició sus estudios de español en la Universidad de Ghana y fue becaria de la AECI en los años 90. Se licenció en español y francés por la Universidad de Ghana (UG). Posteriormente se doctoró en español por la Universidad del Sur de California.
Ha ejercido como profesora en el Colegio Español y en el Centro Asociado de la UNED en Malabo y Bata (Guinea Ecuatorial) además, como profesora de español en el Centro Cultural Hispano-Guineano. Fue vicerrectora de la Universidad de Guinea Ecuatorial.
Presidente del Centro de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas (CICTE) de Guinea Ecuatorial e inspector de Enseñanza Superior en el Marco de Cooperación Educativa Hispano-Guineano.
