Organised business and individual business leaders have expressed strong support for President’s Cyril Ramaphosa’s vision for using the Covid-19 recovery effort to “forge a new economy in a new global reality”, underpinned by a new social compact between business, labour, community and government. In his April 21 address to the nation Ramaphosa unveiled a three-phase economic recovery plan, including a R500-billion social and economic stimulus package as part of the second phase.
