The South African Mint (SA Mint) on Monday released a new R5 coin themed “Let us live and strive for freedom”, the last of its coins in the SA25 commemorative circulation coin series. The South African Reserve Bank (SARB), of which the Mint is a wholly-owned subsidiary, also issued five new R2 coins over the past three months in an effort to mark South Africa’s 25 years of constitutional democracy.
