Dr. Zahir HADIBI is a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University A/Mira of Bejaia (UAMB).
He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Bejaia, prepared in the framework of an international co-supervision of thesis with the University of Murcia (UMU).
He also completed a university education in French literature and civilization (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) at the Université Mouloud Mammeri de Tizi Ouzou (UMMTO). With the support of the AUF, he completed a Master's degree in Consulting and Expertise in Public Action (CEAP), with a specialization in Political Science at the Institut d'Etude Politique Sciences Po in Toulouse, in partnership with the Ecole Supérieure de la Francophonie pour l'Administration et le Management (ESFAM) in Sofia, Bulgaria.
He benefited from the student mobilities of the Erasmus Mundus program in the framework of the Eu-Mare Nostrum program at the University of Murcia and at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in the framework of the UNetBA program.
He joined the University of Bejaia in September 2019 as a teacher-researcher, he also held an administrative position as deputy head of department in charge of the core curriculum of the Department of Social Sciences while engaging in international cooperation of UAMB in his capacity as a member of the research team of the project Ci-RES "Creation of Institutional Capacities for the Integration of Refugees in Higher Education" (Erasmus + CBHE), He is the coordinator of the Jean Monnet project Module 'Sociology of European Institutions and International Migration (SIEMI)' developed within the University of Bejaia .
His research work is focused on borders and the informal economy which was the subject of a thesis (2019), he extends his field of study to migration issues, work published and communicated at the national and international level.
He is a recipient of a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Granada under the Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers from the European Neighbourhood for the academic year 2021-2022.
