Así nació la Asociación de Juristas Senegaleses (AJS) en julio de 1974. Entre sus miembros se encuentran mujeres profesoras de derecho, magistradas, abogadas, alguaciles, notarias, inspectoras de trabajo, asesoras jurídicas, doctoras en derecho, etc. La agrupación de mujeres abogadas les ha permitido contribuir eficazmente al desarrollo del derecho en general y al adelanto de las mujeres y los niños en particular.
