SALT 2013: IV Salón de la Logística y el Transporte

The 4th edition of Atlantic Logistics and Transport Fair (SALT), with Morocco again as the guest country, is organised by the Canary Islands Transport and Logistics Cluster, with the collaboration of the Canary Islands Government and Casa África among others institutions. It will take place in the Miller Building of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands - Spain) from 9th to 11th October 2013.

SALT 2013 aims to strengthen the significant achievements in its three previous editions and advance in positioning the Canary Islands as a strategic business development position, investing in its consolidation as an intercontinental platform. Previous good results and the high valuation from participants endorse them.

This professional fair will offer significant opportunities for businesses and organisations who gather there, promoting their greater visibility, providing new business opportunities and business contacts, sharing knowledge and experiences and discovering new innovative features that enhance business activity .

During the presentation of this fourth edition of SALT, the President of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, highlighted the progress that has occurred in the economic relations between the archipelago and Morocco, especially in the field of transport, in which the SALT has played a key role, as indicated by the Consul of Morocco on the islands, Ahmed Moussa, who also appreciated the increased air links attained with the islands and the work performed by the shipping companies to increase maritime communications.

Rivero also emphasized that the Atlantic Fair should be the basis to raise funds for the territorial cooperation programme of the European Union, which in the financial framework for 2014-2020 increases the amounts for this purpose by 150%  compared to the period from 2007 to 2014.
