SALT 2012: III Salón de la Logística y el Transporte
The 3rd edition of the Atlantic Logistics and Transport Fair (SALT), with Morocco as the guest country, is organised by the Canary Islands Cluster for Transport and Logistics, with the collaboration of the Canary Islands Government and Casa África among other institutions. It will take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands – Spain) from the 21st to the 23rd November 2012.
The participation of Morocco and undertaking certain activities at the Fair are part of the "Programme of Actions to Enhance Connectivity between the Canary Islands and the South of Morocco" (TRANSMACA), a project approved at the 2nd meeting of the Operational Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Spain-External Border (POCTEFEX) and co-funded with ERDF funds. Its overall aim is to improve connectivity in maritime and air transport sectors between the Canary Islands and Morocco so as to strengthen and encourage trade and people exchange between both regions.
In this way, the Ministry for Equipment and Transport of the Kingdom of Morocco organises the participation of this country through the presence of an important institutional and business delegation headed up by the Minister for Equipment and Transport M. Aziz Rabbah.
Through an initiative from the Canary Islands Government, Casa África encourages block IV (business cooperation), which being part of this meeting, will take place on Friday 23rd November in the Main Hall of the Sta Cruz de Tenerife Fairground during 9 to 11 in the morning (see programme).
This 4th block is entitled "International tenders in the Logistics and Transport sectors in Morocco. Business opportunities for Canary Island companies" and will be inaugurated by the Minister for Equipment and Transport for the Kingdom of Morocco, S.E.M. Abdelaziz RABBAH; the Minister for Public Works, Transport and Territorial Policy, the Honorable Mr. D. Domingo Berriel Martínez; and Casa África's General Secretary, Mr. Luis Padilla Macabeo.
The following presentations will be made in this block:
- tenders from the National Office of Airports (ONDA) given by Mr. Lahcen FARHAT, Director of Planning, Strategy and Sustainable Development.
- tenders from the National Agency of Ports (ANP) given by Mr. Sghir EL FILALI, Director for the Regulation and Development of Ports of the ANP.
- tenders from the Directorate of Roads given by Mr. Mohammed BEJGHIT, assistant Director for the Directorate for Roads. Ministry of Equipment and Transport for the Kingdom of Morocco
