Jornada: Licitaciones y proyectos del Banco Africano de Desarrollo
The main objective of the African Development Bank (AFDB) is to promote economic development and social progress in African countries, thereby contributing to reduce poverty. To do this, it funds programmes and development projects, mostly in the form of loans to the public sector, and to a lesser extent, also to the private sector.
Additionally, the African Development Fund (AFDB) provides loans under even more favourable terms, grants and emergency humanitarian aid.
On the other hand, there are many Spanish companies that want to take the leap abroad in search of new opportunities. International tenders are a good starting point for Spanish companies to have a first contact with our neighbouring continent and to start up a relationship that is usually beneficial to both parties.
Funding projections over the next few years open up many opportunities for Spanish companies that can take advantage of this potential. Some of the activities that the AFDB plans to fund belong to sectors such as energy, transport, water and sanitation, industry, agriculture, education, health and environment.
In order to discuss all of this, the opportunities and ways to access them, organisations such as Foment del Treball Nacional organise session like this with which Casa África collaborates to share common aims.
Casa África's director general, Luis Padron, will participate in the opening of this conference which will take place on 27th November from 11.00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the headquarters of Foment Treball (Via Layetana, 32 - Barcelona)
