II Congreso Internacional TIC, Turismo e Innovación. TICTI 2012

During the 21st and 22nd June 2012 the Second International ITC Congress, Tourism and Innovation will be held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, organised jointly by the WTO, the Government of the Canary Islands, AMETIC and FECATIC in the assembly hall of Caja Canarias Banca Cívica, in calle Puerto Escondido, 5 de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (see how to get there).

One of the talks that can be heard during this 2nd Congress will be "Hispanic-African cooperation. Situation and Outlook," which will be given by Casa África's General Secretary, Luis Padilla Macabeo.

This congress, whose first edition was held on the 4th and 5th May 2011 in Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, is aimed at businessmen, technicians, suppliers and professionals in general from international, national and regional ITC and Tourism sectors.

The tourist sector's outlook and latest trends will be examined, together with their evolution towards the use of ITC and technological innovation.

Thus, this event is positioned as a national and international reference in the matter, specifically promoting the investments of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, thanks to its tax advantages and strategic situation, as a bridge between three continents, Europe, America and Africa.

The contents that will be dealt with during the Congress are structured into four thematic areas:

Smart Destinations. The influence of internet in travel processes
New services and mobile devices for tourism.
New technologies and their applications to tourism.
New models of tourist information
