II Conferencia sobre Derechos Humanos del colectivo LGBT (Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales, Transexuales)
Support for respecting human rights of LGBT is a current event with special relevance in the African continent, where they are violently violated on a daily basis, since homosexuality continues to be pursued and harshly punished by laws in many Sub-Saharan countries.
For this reason, Casa África will once again support the Triángulo Foundation in spreading this reality. On this occasion, the event will include experts from Tunisia, Mozambique and South Africa, who will address topics such as building hate through the news media in Maghreb.
The aim is to make the Canarian and Spanish society and public institutions aware of the situation of discrimination and persecution suffered by lesbians, transsexuals, gays and bisexuals in most of Africa, focusing on the need to establish cooperation development policies aimed at improving the situation of this part of the population.
Date: May 23rd - 25th.
Location: Paraninfo of the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
