Foro Intercontinental de Oportunidades de Negocio
These meetings are held under the format of information conferences on foreign markets. They are open to the public and this time countries like Senegal, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco and Mauritania will be addressed. The meetings will be held in the respective chambers of commerce on 18th June in Tenerife and 19th June in Gran Canaria.
In addition, training sessions will be held which are also aimed at promoting business in the countries concerned and the Canary Islands where each expert will explain how to access the market they have knowledge of. These experts include representatives from: APIX, Cabo Verde Investimentos, or the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF).
Both the Institutional Meeting as well as the training sessions are part of the European Programme of Transnational Cooperation Madeira-Canary Islands-Azores (MAC 2007-2013) with the acronym "Platforma", co-financed by the ERDF.
In this project, the Canary Islands archipelago plays an important role in the strategic bridge between the African continent and Latin America, firstly due to its conditions of geographical proximity and secondly for its important cultural, social and linguistic similarities.
Casa África collaborates in this meeting in order to continue with its line of work in promoting awareness of the economies of African countries, as it did previously with Mauritania, Guinea Bissau, Republic of Guinea or South Africa among others.
