FIDADOC 2012: Festival Internacional de Documental de Agadir
The Documentary Film Festival of Agadir, the first Moroccan cinematographic display devoted exclusively to documentaries, once again has the support of Casa África in this its 4th edition.
FIDADOC is a window to the world but also a place for exchange and education for students, cinema buffs, producers and film makers in the Souss Massa Drâa Region.
From the 24th to 28th April in Agadir there will be 5 days to discover documentary films from the 5 continents and this year with a special relevance, as the organisers focus this edition on a well deserved tribute to Nouzha Drissi, founder of the festival who sadly died last year.
Once again the films chosen for international competition and within the different themed programmes, cover the changes in the world, which film makers are privileged witnesses to, in the majority of cases ahead of their times: consequences of the circulation of people and exchange of goods, economic and social revolutions taking place, dangers that threaten our environment and cultural heritage...
In the same way as in previous editions, the festival will give priority to films portraying strong personalities that tell unique stories to reflect on the universal. Among them, films from Tunisia and Egypt, works that echo the popular movements that shook both countries a few months ago.
