Encuentro Seguridad Jurídica España-Marruecos
Casa Africa organises this event in collaboration with the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Equality of the Canary Islands Government; Spanish Ministry of Justice; and the General Council of the Judiciary. The aim is to work for a common area of legal certainty between Spain and Morocco and promote arbitration, international legal cooperation and out of court settlements to give prompt response to commercial disputes, which would have a direct impact on improving trade relations between the two countries, which already are excellent.
Major changes in the world market demand new models to resolve conflicts every day, which are consistent with the urgency of speed and safety in traffic. Arbitration, mediation, intermediation and other forms of out of court settlement of conflicts become real factors of economic and social development.
There is therefore as an increasingly urgent need to harmonise those aspects of law that, by their very nature, have an international scope of application. Today's society requires a normative integration which through harmonisation and unification mechanisms will diminish the emergence of conflict of laws, in a time when the rise of the personal and international relations requires legal certainty as to the determination of the applicable law.
In order to advance in the field of legal certainty between the two countries, and from the enclave of the Canary Islands, this meeting will be conducted focused on two panels:
- International legal cooperation
- Out of court settlements of conflicts
The meeting will include senior representatives of the legal field from both countries
