Cumbre Mundial de Microcréditos en Valladolid
The main aim of the World Microcredit Summit in Valladolid 2011 is to promote and encourage sustainable entities from the financial point of view and to be able to enhance this essential development tool in the joint effort made by public and private organisations in their commitment to micro-credits.
Making the most of its presence in Valladolid, Casa África takes to this city:
- The África.ES project, a photographic exhibition with 2m high monoliths placed on the Paseo Central del Campo Grande, which will show seven African artists' view on seven Spanish cities.
- An institutional stand at the Valladolid Fair which will be held form the 10th to the 12th November. Those that approach this stand, will be able to know first hand about this organisation's work as well as their different collections on Literature, Essay and History and Politics.
- A cycle of African cinema by Cinenomada that will allow the screening of the films:
Casa África sponsors Cinenómada because it has the same objective as Al-Tarab of making African cinema visible to as many Spanish audiences as possible and of brining Africa closer to Spain.
Cinenómada makes available to various entities a large selection of films from past editions of the FCAT, subtitled in Spanish, which is to date the only offering of this dimension and genre that exists in Spain and that guarantees African producers an income, which although modest, is often the only one they receive.
It targets associations, municipalities, regional governments, universities, cultural centers, film libraries, museums and any type of organization or institution that is interested in promoting African cinema. Cinenómada distributes films throughout the year that would otherwise remain only in specialized festivals.
