Conferencia: mujeres rurales y brecha digital
The Island Council of Fuerteventura brings the programming for the International Day of Rural Women to a close with an international conference attended by:
- the secretary general of Casa África, Arianne Hernández, who will moderate the meeting
- the consultant responsible for social innovation projects and new technologies for development within the United Nations Programme for Development in Egypt and UAE, María Tarancón
- the representative of the Directorate for the Promotion of the Digital Economy and Cooperation in Senegal, Rufina Dabo Sarr
- the coordinator of the National Network of Incubators of Cape Verde, Nilda Mendes
The conference will take place on Tuesday 29 November, at 6pm in the Insular Auditorium, Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura. It will be attended by the President of the Island Council, Marcial Morales, and the directors of New Technologies and Equality, Ylenia Alonso and Yanira Domínguez , respectively.
This conference is part of the programme of activities the Fuerteventura Island Council has developed to commemorate the International Day of Rural Women between September and November 2016 through various workshops that have been held in the telecentres of La Oliva, Antigua and Pájara. These workshops have addressed innovation, entrepreneurship and digital literacy in rural women.
