Conferencia: Culturas africanas y oralidad. Su proyeción iberoamericana
2011 is International Afro-Descendants Year, which is why the UNESCO Chair of Afro-Ibero-American Studies at the Universidad de Alcalá, in collaboration with Fundación Sur, the Spanish Association of Afro-Hispanics, Afro-Cubans and Afro-Caribbeans, the Kimbanguista Cultural Space and Casa África through its África Vive initiative, has organised this conference on African cultures, the strong importance of storytelling in them, and their projection in Ibero-America.
This conference will be taught by professor Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem of the University of Kinshasha (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and author of Historia del Congo (History of the Congo), the latest addition to the Casa África Essay Collection.
The presentation for this conference will be by Luis Beltrán, Director of the UNESCO Chair of Afro-Ibero-American Studies at the Universidad de Alcalá.
The conference will take place on 02 June 2011, from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Rector´s Building of the Universidad de Alcalá.
