Casa África en el XIV Festival de Cine de Lanzarote

African cinema will once again be present at this annual event with the 7th Art on the island of Lanzarote and will do so through Casa África and Cinenómada in its task of disseminating African cinema, an important communication channel with the neighbouring continent which rarely reaches the commercial auditoriums.

The Film Festival of Lanzarote (FICL) has been spreading cinema's cultural values over the last 14 years, as a superb teaching resource which helps to design a pedagogy with the times we live in, because throughout the historical development of cinema - as an art and industry- we find numerous examples of works that have offered viewers the possibility of forming a scale of values.

With these premises and as in previous years, Casa África and Cinenómada will be responsible for the FICL to have a Exhibition of African Short Films on this island which shares latitude with the African continent, a migrant population, historical influences and suspended soil, and that demands to know more about the reality of a continent in constant turmoil (social, cultural, political and economic). Once again, Casa África and Al-Tarab collaborate with the Festival handing over the exhibition rights of the short films made in Africa.

The 14th International Film Festival of Lanzarote is held from the 24th March to 5th April 2014 and the exhibition of African short films that Casa África provides will be screened on 29th March at 6:00  p.m.at the Teatro Insular de Lanzarote screening a total of 70 ' of projections comprising the following titles:
