Abierta la convocatoria de la XI Muestra de Cine Social "La Imagen del Sur"

Centre of Initiatives for Cooperation Bata (CIC Bata) invites filmmakers and social documentalists to participate in the XI Social Cinema Exhibition “The Image of the South”.

The deadline for proposals is June 15, 2014.

The event is a part of the educational program The Image of the South, financed by Andalusian Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AACID), which promotes the use of audiovisual for transformation and social change.

The Exhibition “The Image of the South” will take place in November 2014. It is a non-competitive event and has a form of a movie-forum. The goal is to present an interesting selection of documentary/ feature movies on social issues and by doing so to stir debate and reflection on social, political, economic and cultural realities of the South.

Only works produced between 2010 and 2014 can participate in the exhibition. The subject of the movies should relate to one of the following themes: promotion of equality and social justice, human rights, indigenous people, environment, protection of cultural diversity as well as alternative and emancipatory practices.
