42ª edición de la Feria Internacional del Atlántico
The 42nd International Atlantic Trade Fair, Atlantur, will be taking place from 28 to 31 March 2019 and will focus on professional solutions for the tourism industry.
The 42nd International Atlantic Trade Fair is promoted by the Island Council of Gran Canaria and organised by the Canary Islands Trade Fair Institution, INFECAR. Its aim is to be the main forum to connect the business and professional tourism community in the Canary Islands, bringing together the supply and demand for products, services and investment opportunities for the tourism industry.
The Canary Islands receives more than 15 million tourists a year and is an established tourist destination with specialist know-how and a wide range of suppliers and professionals.
Casa África is again collaborating in the the organisation of this year’s International Atlantic Trade Fair by identifying key African players in the tourism sector. As a result, the following private sector representatives have been invited:
- Rafael Rodriguez, Director of the Senegalese hotel group Blue Horizons
- Lídia Nicolau, Sales Executive of HBD STP - Tourism Investments, from São Tomé and Príncipe
- AG Alhousseini Mohamed, CEO of the Azalai Hotels Group.
While these guests are in the Canary Islands, Casa África will explore ways of collaborating with them and also prepare a programme of work engagements for them during their stay on the island.
In addition to the International Atlantic Trade Fair’s panel discussions, presentations and exhibition stands run by participating companies, B2B meetings will also be held between professionals from the tourism industry, so that they can establish relationships which have benefits for both parties and expand their network of contacts.
This event is organised within the framework of the CONFIAFRICA project, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the INTERREG MAC cooperation programme (Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands).
