40ª Feria Internacional del Atlántico
The International Atlantic Trade Fair is celebrating 40 years with a focus on tourism, which is the economic and social engine of the Canary Islands. The aim is to create a meeting point for all those companies and professionals that buy and sell products and services for the tourism industry. From 24 to 27 November 2016, professional solutions for the tourism sector will be displayed in more than 7000 m2 of exhibition space.
The tourism industry accounts for more than 30% of the Islands’ Gross Domestic Product, in an economy which imports and exports investment, energy, knowledge, tourism brands, trends, goods, equipment and technologies. With more than 12 million tourists each year, the Canary Islands is a leading market for products and services in the tourism sector, as well as having proven experience in the sector that endorses its internationalisation.
The Canary Islands Trade Fair Institution, part of the the Cabildo of Gran Canaria (the Island Government), has been opening doors for business between Europe, Africa and America for five decades. Now, with the 40th International Atlantic Trade Fair, it is beginning a new era of specialisation, becoming the key trade fair for the tourism sector in the Canary Islands and providing new opportunities for business, investment, promotion and cooperation.
